A Promise Broken - By Vineet

                  A PROMISE BROKEN

There lay the body still as stone,
whatever she did she just would'nt mourn

For she never believed that her beloved was gone,
that in this world she was all alone

They tried to make her realise that he was never coming back,
but all she could remember was the time they spent in their shack

She could see clearly what was the epitome of her life,
it was the gloriuos day when he had proclaimed her his wife

Resting in her beloved's arm ,looking at him with love and care,
while his lips made the promise, for you i'll always be there

But unfortunately i must go by the crack of the dawn,
for its time to repay the country in which i was born

She did'nt say anything but a silent tear escaped her eye,
sensing her fear he said, don't worry soon i'll be by your side

And true to his words he left at the first light of sunrise,
while she watched him go with longing in her eyes

She waited for his letters as the seasons passed by,
but though she waited endlessly ,there was no reply

And then came the news that she feared the most,
that the war was over but her love was lost

She locked her hands with those of her beloved,
Hoping all the while that he would rise back from the dead

But there he lay as still as a sculpture,
while the pain and despair made her heart rupture

She could feel his promise ringing in her ears,
her lips unmoving, her eyes silently shedding tears

She was flooded with the memories of his touch and the words he had spoken,
the only thing left of him with her now was a promise broken .

Hey we are back...Sorry for being inactive for so long.

Dear Friends,

So we are finally back on this blog with lots to talk about & lots to share. Over the last week, we have seen some developments in our class, the most prominent amongst them being a new facebook page! Thanks to our very own Vineet. Kudos boy keep up the good work!

Our last lecture was one hell of a session. Sooooo many things we took away from it. Our creative side showed us how to sell Nokia phones to Watermelons!!! Never knew management students are required to do that. How can we not remember the Kishor Kumar track which was replayed by our very own Amit for her beloved Kavya... actually there was something in the air. Even Jivi couldn't hold back his emotions!
Ohhhh by the way... we just discovered we have a poet within us.. yes Vineet surprised us with his writing skills too. (His poetry will follow in the next post.)

Noo no no it doesn't end here... we have also planned a Group leader meeting to benefit one and all. A request to all reading this post, write all the things you want to do in class & give it to your respective group leader.

What a way it was to end our last lecture with me forgetting my own attendance :P

A promise to all you guys lots of pictures & video following up. So send me all the exciting pictures you have and enjoy this blog.

Cheers,
